The Purser plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional guest experience on board, supervising and managing the front desk department. The Purser’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the front office, administrative and guest service aspects of the vessel, acting as a point of contact for passengers and coordinating various onboard operations.
Qualifications, Experiences & Core Competencies Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional qualifications in hospitality, tourism, or related fields advantageous.
- Prior customer service or receptionist or front office management experience in hospitality or cruise industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in English and German; fluency in other languages is a plus.
- General knowledge in operating computers, comfortable with MS Office.
